I started a podcast with my best friend!

Hi friends!

Today I have something fun to announce. If you follow me on twitter or instagram, you might have already seen. But if not, surprise! I started a podcast with my friend, Sam.

This week marks one full year that I’ve been isolating due to the pandemic. One full year locked in. But throughout this not fun time, I’ve been kept company by my friends via virtual hangs. And that’s sort of what inspired this new project.

Sam and I facetime a lot. Like, a lot a lot. And most times, we’re playing video games together. Sometimes we’ll have super deep conversations about life and politics and anything else, other times we’re totally silent aside from our reactions to our games. But video games have been our comforting go-to social activity.

So – our podcast is called Hang Out and Play.

Every week, we’ll each pick a game to play (sometimes we play the same game, but not always) and we’ll have a chill conversation about anything that interests us at the time – from our lives, memes we saw online, stuff going on in the world, gaming related stuff.

It’s silly, random, and some might say boring. But I think it’s funny and it reminds me of all the podcasts that I already loved listening to. The whole point is for it to be something you can throw on in the background while you game, or work, or anything else when you want a bit of company. We’re just two buds hanging out, and we want it to feel like you’re hanging out with us.

Our latest episode just went live today, and you can listen on our website, Spotify, or most podcasting platforms! We’re working on getting it to Apple podcasts and a few others, so fingers crossed we get those tech issues worked out soon.

If you’re interested in checking us out – here’s our first episode for you right here!

Thank you so much for your support. I see you all reading my blog still, even though I’m not posting as regularly and it means so much. I’m so excited about this new project and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have been.

Talk to you again soon!
